Honestly when I get older I starting to feel more sympathetic towards Miller. Apparently the writing staff was literally rushed to meet a deadline. Not to mention the 3 seasons where literally written together in almost 1 year….

2:53 diesel is half right. Firefighters are not only busy when going to emergencies. They go to schools to teach fire safety to the community, they show off their trucks at events like parades, tough a trucks and firework shows. They dont get just just stand around the station waiting for a emergency.

Gordon would’ve never crashed if Edward got Rocky to pick up the pipes instead of Harvey. Edward was definitely not himself, and wouldn’t have listened to Gordon calling Rocky a “new fangled nonsense”. James would’ve been a better fit for the episode and should’ve been called “James Strikes Out”. And if Edward was his normal self and claiming he didn’t need Rocky’s help, he would’ve been nicer about it.

This was changed to a Wizard in the final product, as the original scene wouldn't have been allowed to be aired on American children's television. I can't believe how stupid and predictable this episode is! Henry should not be so worried over some special box that is sure to have Christmas trees! 🤦‍♂️ What has Hit Entertainment done to him?

Season 19 is a good season with plenty of improvements in the animation that Arc was able to accomplish, having the characters speak themselves w/o relying on the narrator solely, and opens the door to more great character development with side characters (better or worse) giving them something to do. The main characters though had the short end of the stick (a few of them). However, I will say that with delays of air dates between that and S20 after TAB was fast-tracked in 2014 on Arc's schedule, then The Great Race being developed but pushed forward to 2016 hence Lost Treasure taking its spot, Arc going bankrupt, and S21 cut short to make room for BWBA, this was the primarily the beginning of the end for the last few remainder of the season. Plus this season had random stories that have no connection w/ the 70th anniversary of the RWS (as S20 is the sole reason to carry on these tidbits left off from where the specials were). I had done an idea thread on Twitter on how to fix S19 and 20 by having only stories from S20 w/ a few S19 ones combined to be in line with the franchise's anniversary and stay very well connected. And for S20, it's basically a leftover combination of S19 and S21 to give a conclusion to the show as a whole (w/ Diesel's Ghostly Christmas as a Christmas movie for S19 in TGR's place and The Earl's Railway Museum for S20 as the final Thomas production). And lastly, I did read in Lee Pressman's interview that he and the writers are not to blame for Thomas appearing in every single episode, as they were pressured by executives and Mattel to have into a story whether he needs to be in it or not.

If you want representation of different religious winter holidays, just make episodes dedicated to Hanukkah or Diwali or some other holidays rather than just renaming Christmas.

Nowadays, the biggest disgrace to Wilbert Awdry is "All Engines Go". Looks like he wasn't joking when he said the Thomas & Friends franchise would be vulgarized and ruined by Americans. He's probably rolling in his grave about it
